Our mission is to increase the knowledge, skill and attitude of societies’ protectors through promoting faith and emotional well-being, and through tactical advising in order to survive and win lethal confrontations.
We accomplish this mission through:
- Teaching firearms courses to military/LEO, armed security, and private citizens;
- Writing informational blog articles;
- Publishing and selling books that inspire and inform; and
- Raising money to donate to those who suffer.
Warrior SOS is dedicated to raising public awareness and helping families and individuals who have experienced the burdens of physical, emotional and psychological trauma associated with military, law enforcement and security operations.

Jeffrey Denning has nearly 20 years’ experience as a firearms instructor. His work experience includes noncommissioned and commissioned U.S. Army officer, with service in Iraq, SWAT team leader, diplomatic security specialist in Israel/Palestine with the U.S. State Department, undercover Federal Air Marshal, firearms instructor for a classified contract, and a lead firearms instructor in the nuclear security industry. He has won multiple Top Gun shooting awards from various SWAT schools, police academies, and with the Federal Air Marshal Service. He holds a master’s degree in military special operations with an emphasis in terrorism, and a bachelor’s degree in law enforcement administration. He is currently a police officer and adjunct firearms instructor with the Salt Lake City Police Department. He is the author of Warrior SOS—Military Veterans’ Stories of Faith, Emotional Survival, and Living with PTSD and several other books, including 101 Police Tips—a Humorous Collection of Law Enforcement Advice to the Public. He has written for Law & Order, SWAT digest, The Washington Times, Guns.com, and other publications.

A Mormon is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mormon is a nickname derived from The Book of Mormon: Another Testament. Mormons believe in modern-day prophets and apostles. One such leader has suggested that Mormon means “more good.”
